Our founder spent over 25 years struggling with addiction before finding long-term recovery. Through her own journey, she recognized the urgent need for better sober living options for women in Alaska. This realization inspired her to create Sleeping Lady Transitional Services—a high-quality, safe space for women to heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.

Having experienced the challenges of recovery firsthand, she is deeply committed to working directly with every woman in the program, offering personal guidance, support, and encouragement. For her, recovery is not just a process—it’s a shared experience, and community is one of its most important elements. She’s open about her own journey and passionate about breaking the silence surrounding addiction and recovery. By sharing her story, she aims to inspire and empower those she serves.

In January 2024, she opened the first doors of Sleeping Lady, followed by the second in March 2024, the third in September 2025, and the fourth in November 2025. Each new step reflects her unwavering commitment to providing women with a safe, supportive, and community-oriented space to rebuild their lives.
