Help Us Welcome Women Into a Safe Place

Every woman who comes through our doors is beginning a new chapter. Many arrive with very few personal belongings, and everyday household items can make a meaningful difference during those first few weeks.

While Sleeping Lady Transitional Services is not a nonprofit organization, members of our community often ask how they can help. If you would like to support the women staying in our homes, the following items are always appreciated.

🎒 Welcome Bag Items

Every new resident receives a welcome bag on her first day. It’s a small gesture, but it lets her know she’s entering a place where she is valued, supported, and cared for.

Items we like to include:

💌 Include a Note of Encouragement

One of the most meaningful gifts isn’t purchased at all.

If you’d like, include a handwritten note, favorite Bible verse, or words of encouragement with your gift.

Children’s groups, Sunday school classes, youth groups, and families are also invited to decorate paper gift bags or create encouraging cards for our welcome bags. These personal touches remind each woman that she is seen, valued, and not alone.
